TOPIC:Graphing an Inverse of a function


In order to graph the inverse of a function, first make sure that the function has been graphed. As an example, f of x = x cubed - 5x + 1 is entered using the Y = key and graphed below in a standard viewing window.

 


To graph the inverse of , , in the same viewing window press 2nd followed by PRGM [DRAW], and then select 8:DrawInv. After DrawInv appears on the screen, press VARS, right arrow to Y-VARS, press ENTER to select 1:Function, then press ENTER to select 1: . Press ENTER once again to see the graphs.
